Dr. Yohana Beraki (she/her) is joining our team as a clinical psychology postdoctoral fellow after receiving her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from William James College, with a specialization in Children and Families. Dr. Beraki received her Master of Education in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Counseling from Boston University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Purdue University.
Dr. Beraki brings years of extensive experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families across a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, day programs, inpatient units, and residential programs. Believing that evidence-based treatments are the gold standard, Dr. Beraki has received comprehensive training and certifications in several therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent Management Training (PMT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the Modular Approach to Therapy for Children (MATCH), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Additionally, Dr. Beraki is currently pursuing certification in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). In practice, Dr. Beraki integrates these modalities within a holistic, systemic framework to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each individual.
Dr. Beraki is committed to creating a safe, inclusive therapeutic space and incorporates individual and cultural differences every step of the way. She has provided individual, family and group therapy as well as school consultation, neuropsychological evaluations, supervision and training. Her areas of specialty include disruptive behavior disorders, anxiety-related disorders and parent-focused treatments.
