Alexandra Fryman, M.S., is a Clinical Extern at Manhattan Psychology Group, specializing in providing evidence-based psychological services for children, adolescents, and families. She earned her Master of Science in School-Community Psychology from Hofstra University and is currently pursuing both her Doctorate in School-Community Psychology and an Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Alexandra has extensive experience across diverse clinical and educational settings, including public schools, a positive psychology clinic, and a psychological assessment clinic, where she has worked with children, families, and adults. Her therapeutic approach integrates several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Positive Psychology.
Alexandra is passionate about helping children and families build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen communication and coping skills. She takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach, focusing on each child’s unique values, interests, and abilities while addressing areas for growth. In her work, Alexandra emphasizes not only decreasing challenges but also enhancing positive behaviors and overall well-being.
In addition, she provides skill-building interventions targeting executive functioning, emotion regulation, and social functioning, supporting clients in achieving meaningful, lasting change. Alexandra deeply values parent involvement and strives to empower families with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to foster their child’s continued success beyond the therapy room.
