Ahuva Rotenstein is currently a fourth-year doctoral candidate in the School Psychology program at St. John’s University, where she also earned her master’s degree in School Psychology.
Ahuva has provided evidence-based treatments to individuals presenting with a range of concerns—including anxiety disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), disruptive behavior disorders, and social difficulties—and has received training in Parent Management Training (PMT) to support caregivers in addressing challenging behaviors. Ahuva has developed a strong foundation in psychological assessment and has gained meaningful experience conducting psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents with learning difficulties and various social-emotional concerns.
Through her work, Ahuva is committed to promoting collaboration between parents and teachers to support the generalization of skills across home and school settings. She is also passionate about adapting evidence-based interventions to meet the strengths of both children and their families. She believes that every child has unique strengths and challenges, and that understanding what makes each child unique is the key to tailoring recommendations that best support their individual needs.She strives to take a warm and caring approach to help children and adolescents reach their goals and achieve their fullest potential.
