
Alexandra Fryman is joining our team as a clinical extern. She recently earned her Master of Science in School-Community Psychology from Hofstra University. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in School-Community Psychology and an Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Alexandra has gained diverse experience across various settings including public schools, a positive psychology clinic, and at a psychological assessment clinic working with children, families, and adults. She is passionate about supporting children and families through collaborative and holistic support to foster resilience and empower families to become change agents in their children’s lives.
Alexandra’s training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, and Positive Psychology impact her approach to clinical work. Alexandra emphasizes harnessing individual client’s strengths, values, and interests in addition to areas for growth. Her experience has equipped her to support clients with a variety of needs not only by decreasing the negatives, but by simultaneously increasing the positives in an individual’s day-to-day life. She also utilizes skill training approaches in the areas of executive functioning, emotion regulation, and social functioning to support clients in achieving their goals.
Alexandra actively recognizes the expertise of her clients and their supportive networks and is particularly interested in providing families with information, practical skills, and confidence in their abilities.
