Prashasti is enthusiastic to join the MPG team as a clinical extern. She recently completed a Master of Science in School Psychology from St. John’s University and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in Psychology. Prashasti is studying to complete her Doctorate in Psychology.
Prashasti provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for both children and adults, more specifically for those with symptoms related to anxiety and depression. She also has experience managing behavioral challenges for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Prashasti has worked in a variety of settings including public schools, an autism research school, and mental health clinics.
Prashasti welcomes collaboration and participation from her clients’ support systems in treatment and is committed to providing holistic psychological treatment through a culturally competent lens. Prashasti is interested in being a facilitator of conversation for immigrant children/families/adults as they navigate the unique experiences of biculturalism, assimilation, and learning about their identities. She is also a bilingual provider who can communicate with her clients in both English and Hindi.
