Nevena received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Philosophy, Serbia. Soon after, she moved to California where she obtained her master’s degree in Counseling psychology, where she is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She moved to NYC in 2010 and pursued her education in Applied Behavior Analysis through Florida Institute of Technology. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (1-14-10397), as well as a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of NY and CT. She has over 15 years of experience working with children and adults with autism and other mental disorders.
Nevena has worked as a home-based behavior therapist, overseen home-based programs, designed training protocols and curricula for ABA therapists and supervisors, conducted numerous trainings for parents and professionals and consulted with families and schools. Nevena completed basic and advanced training in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System). Her interests include verbal behavior, development of social skills, and parent training. Nevena fluently speaks Serbian, Croatian, English and Spanish.
