After graduating from FSU, she moved to New Orleans, LA and received training as a behavior technician. There she provided ABA services to children with skill deficits and over-adaptive behaviors. Soon after becoming a behavior technician she enrolled in the Exceptional Student Education Master’s program at University of West Florida. During this time Kelsey completed the requirements needed for the BCBA certification and graduated from UWF.
After completing the requirements, she moved to New York City and sat for the BCBA exam. Upon passing the exam, Kelsey got her first job as a BCBA creating programs and supervising ABA services for autistic children. She is now providing direct care ABA services with a focus on assent-based practices and trauma-informed care.
