The holidays are typically a time for enjoyable activities and spending time with family and friends. However, they can also bring added stress and chaos. This webinar aims to equip parents and families with tools and strategies to manage stress and prepare for the holiday season, so they can fully enjoy the festivities without worry.

About Instructor
Dr. Maura Francis is a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychologist. She also serves as a Testing Supervisor, PCIT Therapist, and Neuropsychology Fellow specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, young adults and their families.
Additionally, Dr. Francis serves as a Clinical Advisor and Mental Health Coach for To Be Honest (tbh), a California-based organization that provides mental health services and resources to students from historically marginalized and minoritized communities throughout the country. Dr. Francis holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University, where she received formal training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). She is also an alumna of Penn State University where she received her bachelors in Psychology.
Dr. Francis is a client-centered clinician, who meets children and families at their level of care to help build self-efficacy over time by using a variety of evidence-based methods. In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Francis has extensive experience in developmental, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological assessment in an array of settings. She is passionate about working with individuals and families from a diverse mix of communities and backgrounds using multi-systems approaches that provide both advocacy and treatment to her patients.
In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Francis’ research interests include racial discrimination and mental health outcomes, and the role that implicit bias plays in diagnostic decision-making in children and adolescents. Dr. Francis is also a proponent of prevention interventions in early childhood and the significance of parent-child relationships in treatment.
