The purpose of this webinar is to highlight the significance and effect that language, tone, body language, and your reactions to your partner can have on the emotional safety of the relationship. When you have emotional safety, you have trust, and when you have trust, you can be your truest authentic self, without defensiveness, or hidden agendas.
Objectives:
- Self Awareness and Reflection- Am I listening to what my partner is saying? Have I clarified it? Or am I placing my own judgment on their request, statement or suggestion? Have I taken this personally?
- Why Defensiveness is a relationship killer.
- Have I validated my Partner? Did I make them feel heard? Did I empathize with them?
- Why tone matters.
- How body language can feed emotional safety (especially if intimacy is not reciprocated in the moment).
- Empathy- Am I able to show my partner that while I may not fully understand their position, I can try to imagine what it could be like in their shoes.
