Biography
Marlene received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Speech Language Pathology from City of New York Lehman College, Bronx, NY. She obtained her master’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis, through Capella University in Minneapolis. She was awarded New York State ABA Ambassador for 2019. Her interests include verbal behavior, development of social skills, and parent training.
Marlene has worked as a home-based behavior therapist, overseen home-based programs, designed training protocols and curricula for ABA therapists and supervisors, conducted numerous trainings for parents and professionals and consulted with families. Most recently, Marlene has begun consulting with schools. She has over 7 years of experience working with children with autism and other mental disorders Marlene recently obtained her Limited permit as a Licensed Behavior Analyst. She was previously a crisis prevention trainer and continues to apply the skills to train others. She has lived in NYC all her life. She fluently speaks English and Spanish.
