Denise Martinez is a New York State licensed clinical social worker (#093679-01) with over a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across a wide range of clinical settings. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University at Albany and her Master of Social Work from Lehman College.
Denise has extensive experience working with individuals presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and learning differences. She has worked in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, private practice, and in-home and shelter-based services, giving her a broad and practical understanding of the diverse needs clients bring to treatment.
She is formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and parent management training. Denise takes an integrative and flexible approach, incorporating cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, psychodynamic, and humanistic techniques to tailor treatment to each client’s needs.
