
Dr. Will Folberth is a licensed clinical psychologist in New York who is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. He specializes in working with individuals impacted by stressful life events and has expertise in treating anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), behavioral challenges in children, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Dr. Folberth earned his doctorate (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in evidence-based treatment of childhood trauma at Northwell Health and holds an appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the New York University School of Medicine. His advanced clinical training includes rotations at Lincoln Hospital, Mount Sinai Morningside, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services.
Dr. Folberth’s therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), with the integration of mindfulness-based strategies to support overall well-being. He has received specialized training in trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), CBT for anxiety, Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Parent Management Training (PMT), and strategies for supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals. Dr. Folberth is known for combining warmth, empathy, and clinical expertise to help clients heal, grow, and thrive.
