Serena Mainiero, Psy.D., is a post-doctoral fellow in neuropsychology who is dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults better understand themselves and access the services and support they need to thrive. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited program at William James College. Dr. Mainiero completed her clinical internship at AHRC-NYC, where she provided therapy and comprehensive evaluations for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Dr. Mainiero has worked in schools, outpatient clinics, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals, gaining experience with a wide range of clients and clinical needs. She is trained in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Parent Management Training (PMT). She also has extensive experience conducting psychodiagnostic, pre-surgical, neuropsychological, and autism evaluations.
Known for her warm and collaborative approach, Dr. Mainiero strives to make the evaluation process clear, supportive, and empowering. She is passionate about helping individuals and families gain meaningful insight into their strengths and challenges so they can feel understood and access the right resources for success.
