Jen Chie, MT-BC, NMT, is currently a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at Felician University. She holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music Therapy and Psychology from Montclair State University and is committed to advanced training in psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and evidence-based interventions. Jen is a Board-Certified Music Therapist and is also certified in Neurologic Music Therapy.
Jen works with children, adolescents, and adults across diverse medical, psychiatric, and academic support settings. Her clinical expertise is in supporting individuals managing anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, psychiatric disorders, and medical-related stressors. She currently serves as a Music Therapist and Creative Arts Therapist in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, where she facilitates therapeutic groups, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and develops targeted interventions focused on emotional expression, coping skills, and overall wellness. Her extensive prior experience includes working with pediatric populations in hospital environments, medically complex children, and undergraduate students navigating academic and emotional challenges.
Jen is dedicated to utilizing creative and evidence-based approaches, with a primary focus on psychotherapy and music-based interventions. She is actively refining her clinical skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches and expanding her knowledge of psychological assessment. Her areas of special clinical interest include emotional expression through music, songwriting interventions, adolescent mental health, and the integration of creative arts therapies within comprehensive mental health care. Jen provides a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment to promote healing, resilience, and highly individualized care for the populations she serves.
