Ashley Qiu is a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at Felician University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Cognitive Science from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. As an undergraduate, she served as a research assistant in a social-emotional learning lab and completed clinical and community-based internships at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the Rutgers Child Development Center, Move This World, and WAFAA Organization.
Her doctoral training thus far has included clinical externships at the John Jay College Counseling Center and the Felician GRIT Program, where she gained experience working with diverse emerging adult populations. Ms. Qiu also currently works with Act To Change, providing identity-affirming mentorship to AANHPI high school students.
Ms. Qiu has experience working with college students, youth, and individuals from multicultural and underserved communities. Having lived and studied in multiple countries since adolescence as an international student, she integrates a strong multicultural perspective into her clinical practice, informing her commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive care.
