Marbelyn Cepeda, MS, is a dedicated clinician focused on supporting children and families navigating crisis and systemic challenges. She is currently advancing toward licensure in mental health counseling at Liberty University and holds a Master of Science in Conflict Resolution from Columbia University. Her therapeutic approach is centered on systemic family dynamics and solution-focused techniques, which allow her to facilitate meaningful change for her clients.
Marbelyn’s clinical experience is rooted in providing advocacy and intervention for at-risk youth and families. As a Family Team Conference Facilitator at Forestdale Inc., she refined her clinical skills by mediating complex family conflicts and collaborating with case managers to develop actionable safety plans. Furthermore, her work as a Case Manager at Samaritan Daytop Village involved conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments and utilizing a strengths-based approach to guide homeless families toward stability and self-sufficiency. Her diverse roles have provided her with extensive experience in crisis intervention and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Marbelyn excels at building rapport and providing culturally competent care to diverse populations. She specializes in trauma-informed care and family systems. Marbelyn integrates her expertise in conflict mediation with solution-focused techniques, utilizing therapeutic modalities such as Motivational Interviewing and crisis de-escalation. She is deeply passionate about empowering children and families and hopes to continue this work throughout her clinical internship at MPG.
