Sean Changlai is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York and New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and his Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boston College. He is currently completing his doctoral training at Pace University, where he continues to deepen his expertise in clinical practice, assessment, and evidence based care.
Sean has experience working across a variety of settings, including the Department of Education as a school social worker, community outpatient clinics, and both inpatient and outpatient hospital environments. He works with adolescents, young adults, working professionals, and families, supporting concerns related to anxiety, depression, parenting, and relationship challenges. His work is informed by a culturally responsive and developmentally grounded perspective, with attention to both individual experiences and the broader systems that shape them.
Sean’s clinical approach is collaborative and integrative. He draws from evidence based treatment approaches while maintaining a strong relational focus, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. His work emphasizes practical strategies for managing day to day challenges while also supporting deeper insight and personal growth.
Outside of his professional work, Sean enjoys reading, following sports, staying current on developments in artificial intelligence, and discovering the latest video games to play.
