Ngozi Igwe is a pre-doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at Felician University. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Montclair State University. She maintains a certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and is a dedicated member of the New Jersey Psychological Association (NJPA).
Ngozi has nearly a decade of experience providing mental health support to children, adolescents, and adults in diverse environments, including schools and clinics. Her background encompasses roles as a Mental Health Technician, ABA Therapist, and Therapist Intern, where she delivered individual, group, and family support services, as well as crisis intervention, particularly for marginalized populations. Additionally, she is an active participant in Felician University's GRIT Program, offering mentorship and mental health support to undergraduate students.
Committed to cultural competence, Ngozi approaches every client with care and respect, striving to meet them exactly where they are. She is passionate about mental health education and actively works to break down the stigma associated with seeking therapeutic services. Her clinical focus includes working with children and adolescents, utilizing strengths-based approaches, and employing modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Ngozi is dedicated to using all available resources to provide quality, evidence-based care, ensuring her clients feel seen, heard, and fully supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
