Stefani Licitra is a New York State Licensed Social Worker (#106507) who received her undergraduate degree from Binghamton University. She went on to earn her Masters from the College of Staten Island, where she received her Social Work degree, focused on clinical practice as well as disabilities studies.
Stefani specializes in working with individuals with special needs and their families. She has spent years working with people with dual diagnoses; providing direct care, developing behavior plans, and implementing training to parents and clinicians. Stefani’s many years of managing a residential facility gives her the unique perspective of understanding the numerous aspects and challenges that this population faces on a daily basis. Stefani believes in working closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcome for her clients.
Stefani uses a client centered approach when providing therapy to ensure that all treatment is individualized to each client’s unique strengths and dynamic personality. Stefani is well versed and experienced in working with parents and families; she enjoys helping them feel confident and supported when interacting with and supporting their children. Her compassion, dedication, experience, and patience allows her to successfully treat and understand each client.
Stefani provides individual, family and group therapy, treating depression, anxiety, OCD, ASD, and dual diagnoses. Outside of work, Stefani enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
