While the adolescent brain is sometimes described as a construction zone, parenting and working with adolescents doesn't have to feel like you're entering a construction site. Leave this interactive session with a better understanding of the adolescent brain and teens experiences, and with practical tools for connecting with the teen(s) in your life.
Child development expert Ellen Galinsky will share paradigm shifting research from her book, published this year to amazing reviews, The Breakthrough Years: A New Scientific Framework for Raising Thriving Teens. She will be joined by experienced UWS therapist Dr. Ariel Kornblum, Manhattan Psychology Group who will share skills for applying Galinsky's recommendations in a therapeutic setting.
The duo will explore methods of limit setting, shared problem solving and promoting the brain-based skills that set teens up for success now and in the future—executive function skills.
NYS Psychologists and Social Workers will be awarded one free live contact hour for attending this webinar and completing the post-webinar survey.
